The platelet and leukocyte counts and hematocrit levels were measured during 4 h blood circulation. These parameters did not change during the blood circulation for either membrane. Furthermore, no significant differences in these parameters were observed either between the NV polymer-embedded polysulfone membrane (NV membrane) and conventional PVP-embedded polysulfone membrane (CX membrane)
