IFN-γ production capacity in response to phytohemagglutinin (PHA) stimulation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells that had come in contact with each of the dialysis membranes. The paired data are connected by dotted lines. The IFN-γ production capacity in response to PHA stimulation of mononuclear cells that had come or not come (control) in contact with the membranes was evaluated for each of the dialysis membranes. While the IFN-γ productivity of the mononuclear cells that came in contact with the membrane did not differ significantly from that of the control cells for the case of the NV membrane, it was significantly lower than that of the control cells for the case of the CX membrane
