Possible relationship between dialysate H2 level and clinical effect. Clinical studies conducted using dialysate solution of approximately 50 ppb H2 showed some clinical effects (UMIN000004857). These effects become more evident at >100 ppb H2, were diminished at lower levels, and become obscure at <20 ppb. A novel water electrolyzer capable of supplying HD solutions with H2 exceeding 200 ppb has been developed for assessment in a future clinical trial
