Open and closed bars display percent change during the 6-month intervention period in the calcium carbonate (CC) group (N = 23) and lanthanum carbonate (LC) group (N = 19). CACS of 42 hemodialysis patients using CC as phosphate binder increased 36.8% during the 6-month lead-in period. In interventional period, they were divided into the CC group and LC group.
