Tertile of 1 (T1) (n = 48: SUA < 429 μmol/L [7.2 mg/dL] in men, < 387 μmol/L [6.5 mg/dL] in women), T2 (n = 50: SUA 429–511 μmol/L [7.2–8.6 mg/dL] in men, 387–457 μmol/L [6.5–7.7 mg/dL] in women), and T3 (n = 53: SUA > 511 μmol/L [8.6 mg/dL] in men, upper > 457 μmol/L [7.7 mg/dL] in women). The table at the bottom of the figure indicates the numbers of patients who were at risk at time 0 and at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 years in each tertile. The highest tertile of SUA levels had a significantly higher risk of NODAT than those in the lower 2 tertiles (log-rank test, P = 0.03)
