Pleural effusion detected by imaging examination. a Abundant pleural effusion can be detected, predominantly on the right side of the lung field, as seen on chest radiography performed after the patient complained of slight dyspnea with weight gain. b Pleuroperitoneal scintigraphy with a mixture of technetium-99m and dialysate reveals a transdiaphragmatic leakage predominantly on the right side of the pleural cavity within 120 min after intraperitoneal injection. c After conservative management, no pleural effusion is detected on a chest radiograph
