Pathological findings of case 1 and case 2. A In renal biopsy of case 1 on day 19, kidney specimen with H.E. staining showed the findings of the swelling of endothelial cells without intravascular thrombosis in kidney. These findings were consistent with endothelial damage findings of aHUS. B In colon biopsy of case 2 on day 11, colon specimen with H.E. staining also revealed the findings of colon ulcer and the presence of thrombi in small vessels.
