The measures for a needle piercing accident. A needle piercing accident occurred in 12.9% of the facilities accepting HIV-positive patients (27 facilities). We evaluated their reactions in the following aspects (1) whether they responded according to the manual, (2) the time duration it took the relevant person to obtain the preventative medicine after the needle piercing accident, and (3) the duration it took for them to consult the HIV specialists
