Protocol for DFPP. As the plasma separator (primary membrane), Plasmaflo OP-08W was used in cDFPP and Cascadeflo EC-50W was used in nDFPP. Large molecules were removed from plasma using a secondary plasma fractionator (secondary membrane), Cascadeflo EC-20W, in both DFPP modalities. Albumin solution was used as replacement fluid and was infused at the same rate as the drain pump
