Japan Academy of Nephrology Nursing (JANN)
The Japan Academy of Nephrology Nursing was established in 1976 as the Japanese Dialysis Nursing Research Association and became JANN in 1998. Currently, there are about 4,000 members, including nurses and educators engaged in the area of kidney disease. By promoting information exchange, education and research through holding general academic meeting, seminars and publishing academic journals, its aims are to enhance and develop nursing care for patients with chronic kidney disease, and to certify nurses as CKDLN (Chronic Kidney Disease Leading Nurse).
